Giant Ronald McDonald Statue | Roadside Attraction
It is definitely worth a stop while driving on I-71 in Ohio to see this weird giant Ronald McDonald statue. Ronald is an oversized fast food god, opening his arms wide to embrace his tasty acolytes. You’re gonna love it.

Right off I-71, Exit 131. About 25 miles north of Columbus, Ohio.
Free to view.
I got the tip on this giant, strange Ronald McDonald from my most favorite app (and website) for roadside attractions, Roadside America. I really can’t say enough about their app – you can drop a pin at your current location or any location and see all the roadside attractions that are in the area. The app also lets you save attractions and mark them as seen. I know it’s not perfect, because in my current city there are tons of attractions not listed, but it’s still pretty great. Note – I’m not affiliated with Roadside America although I totally wish I was!
I researched a little before giving up on trying to figure out any more details about this statue. I thought maybe if I could figure out when the stylized food looked like this, I could at least get a feel for how old the statue may be, but all I’m coming up with maybe it’s post 2000 because I’m pretty sure in the 90s it was all hamburglar and the fry guys. But honestly I am probably wrong. My memory is poor. Lol. I also tried to figure out when the McDonald’s itself was built, but no luck on that either. If anyone has more information please let me know!
