SABRINA SPELLMAN FREE AMIGURUMI CROCHET PATTERN

Inspired by the Netflix series The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina.

I have to say I tried to watch Part 2 of Chilling Adventures of Sabrina twice unsuccessfully before finally getting into it two nights ago in preparation for Part 3. I guess third times a charm. I very much enjoyed this season of Sabrina, lots of laughs and lots of feels. A couple issues with some storyline (and those musical numbers… ugh) but that’s just me. Anyways, I thought it would be fun to make a lil Sabrina while I watched this new season so here she is! She’s pretty easy to stitch out, the details just take a little bit of time. I think this would make a fine beginner project if you don’t get too scared of the hair. Hope you enjoy, and don’t forget to come hang out with us on Facebook and Instagram.

ASSEMBLY
Assemble in this order for best results!*
Attach head to body.
Using a yarn needle, attach head to body at openings using your preferred method of sewing together amigurumi parts. Each opening will have six stitches and line up evenly. I prefer to use a method where you create a vertical stitch by stitching behind the post from right to left on each stitch.
Attach arms to body.
Position arms as desired on body and sew on using long tail from arm and a yarn needle. If it helps, you can use a stitch marker or small pin to hold the arms in place while you are working. I usually put them about one row below the top of the body/bottom of the head and a little to the front.
Attach hair to head.
Hair is made with off white yarn using the yarn fringe hair technique from the book Creepy Cute Crochet by Christen Haden, http://www.needlenoodles.com. For Sabrina, I did three layers of fringe, which was around 7-8 inches of fringe total. To attach fringe, visualize a vertical line on each side of the head from the center top down through where the ears would be. Sew your hair on here, ending on each side about ⅔ down the head. Next, embroider on the pulled back sections of hair in the front also using off white yarn. I embroidered over the yarn fringe’s chain on the sides but left the top visible since the headband would cover it. To make the headband, cut a long length of felt ¼-⅜ inch thick. Glue on using tacky glue.
Dress embellishment.
For Sabrina’s signature dress lace, use pieces of felt cut into the appropriate shapes and glued on. Small lace ribbon would be awesome for this, but I didn’t have any. I normally dislike working with felt, but on this doll it was easier than trying to create the look with yarn.
